About the Show

The Invisible Scoreboard is where I share what I have learned — not as a researcher, but as someone who has spent thirty-five years on the court, watching, questioning, and slowly changing the way I coach.

Every episode begins with a real story. A player, a parent, a coaching moment I got wrong or slowly got right. I do not use real names, but the situations are real. The conversations happened. The outcomes — good and difficult — belong to people I have worked with, people I have cared about, sometimes people I have failed and learned from.

From those stories I draw something wider. About what children need to grow. About what coaches transmit without knowing it. About why some players can never quite access in a match what they access freely in training — and what that tells us about the environment we have created around them.

If something in these episodes stays with you — a story that felt familiar, an idea that landed somewhere unexpected — I would be glad to hear from you. You can reach me directly.

"The more emotionally secure people feel with you, the more they will surpass themselves."
